Description

Outset invented a better way to do research: AI-powered user interviews.

Global brands like Hubspot, Microsoft, Uber and Nestle use Outset to achieve deeper, qualitative insights about their users at unprecedented speed and scale.

The research industry is massive (>$140B and growing) and ripe for disruption. Incumbents are outdated, slow, and burdened by high-cost services. That's our opportunity.

Outset is backed by top Silicon Valley investors and raised a $30M Series B in December 2025—less than six months after our Series A—led by Radical Ventures with participation from M12 (Microsoft’s venture arm), 8VC, Y Combinator, and Adverb Ventures.

The raise follows a breakout year, with our business growing 8x as enterprise customers across industries adopt our category, AI‑moderated research, as the new standard for understanding people.

We’re a tight-knit team serving some of the world’s largest enterprises.

We’re looking for an EMEA Marketing Lead to build Outset’s presence and grow our community across the region. As our first marketing hire in EMEA, you’ll own regional field marketing, tradeshows, and community programs that bring the right people into Outset’s orbit and turn those relationships into pipeline.

You’ll work in a close-knit pod with our EMEA Sales team, sharing priorities, planning programs around target accounts, and partnering on follow-through. You’ll also be part of our broader US-based marketing team, working together to bring Outset’s brand, content, and campaigns to life in ways that resonate locally.

This is a hands-on individual contributor role for someone who can build a regional strategy and execute it themselves. You’re equally comfortable choosing where we should show up, creating a memorable event experience, building relationships with research leaders, and measuring what worked.

Note - This role will begin remotely but may transition to 4 days a week onsite in London.

Responsibilities

  • Build and execute an EMEA marketing plan with Sales, prioritizing the markets, audiences, and programs that will create awareness, generate qualified pipeline, and help move deals forward.
  • Own our regional tradeshow strategy and execution, from selecting events and negotiating sponsorships to booth experiences, speaking opportunities, promotion, and follow-up.
  • Create Outset-hosted experiences that people want to attend, including executive dinners, research roundtables, customer gatherings, and community meetups.
  • Build lasting relationships with researchers, insights leaders, customers, industry communities, and regional partners. Turn those relationships into opportunities for collaboration, advocacy, and ongoing engagement.
  • Develop creative activations that help Outset stand out and give people a reason to get to know us.
  • Partner with the US marketing team across content, growth, product marketing, and creative to adapt campaigns and materials for regional audiences and extend the reach of local programs.
  • Own regional program budgets, vendors, timelines, and logistics, making thoughtful tradeoffs about where to invest.
  • Measure and improve program performance across target-account engagement, qualified meetings, pipeline created and influenced, and cost efficiency.
  • Bring insights from local customers, prospects, and Sales back to the broader marketing team to inform messaging and future campaigns.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in B2B marketing, with a strong track record in field marketing, events, or community programs in EMEA.
  • Experience owning tradeshows and hosted events from concept through execution and follow-up, with clear examples of their impact on pipeline.
  • Strong relationship-building instincts and a talent for bringing people together around useful conversations and experiences.
  • Excellent project management skills. You can manage budgets, vendors, and multiple programs while staying close to the details.
  • Strong writing and communication skills, with the judgment to adapt messaging for different markets and audiences.
  • Comfort using CRM (Hubspot) and marketing tools to manage campaigns, track results, and identify what to improve.
  • Experience in a fast-paced startup or similarly resourceful environment, with the independence to build from scratch and the collaboration skills to work across regions and time zones.
  • Willingness to travel regularly for events, customer programs, and team collaboration across EMEA.

Nice to have

  • Experience as the first regional marketer or helping a US-based company establish its EMEA marketing presence.
  • Experience marketing to enterprise researchers, insights teams, designers, or product leaders.
  • An existing network within the EMEA research and insights community.
